Join a united voice for Marriage across New Zealand on Sunday 13 September. One Sunday, One Message, Nationwide impact.
Every year, Marriage Week New Zealand (Sept 13–19) provides an opportunity to champion the beauty and covenant of marriage across our nation. We believe a national shift begins in the local pulpit – which is why we are focusing our impact on Sunday, September 13th. We are calling 300 pastors to act as a collective catalyst, preaching a Gospel-centered sermon that empowers your congregation to move from simply valuing marriage to becoming champions for the health and holiness of the home.
The Gideon Strategy: 300 Voices, One Nation
This isn’t just a marketing campaign or a “fill-the-calendar” initiative. We believe the state of marriage in New Zealand requires more than a natural effort – it requires a spiritual shift. Just as God used Gideon’s 300 to achieve a victory that only His hand could claim, we believe He can use a dedicated core of leaders to spark a national movement. It’s not about the size of the army, but the strength of the One who leads it.
We are looking for 300 Pastors across Aotearoa to stand in that same spirit of unity and obedience.
The Trumpet & The Torch
Gideon’s men didn’t carry traditional weapons. They carried trumpets and torches hidden inside clay jars. We believe this is the blueprint for Marriage Week New Zealand 2026:
The Trumpet
The Proclamation: On Sunday, September 13th, 300 voices will sound simultaneously across the country. By preaching a Gospel-centered sermon on marriage, you are sounding a "clear note" that pierces the cultural noise and restores God’s vision for the family.
The Torch
The Presence: Once the jars were broken, the light shone bright. By hosting a marriage event or resource - and listing it on the national MarriageWeek.org.nz hub - your church becomes a local torch. You are showing your community that hope isn’t just a theory; it’s a visible, accessible light in their own backyard.
It’s time to move past ‘business as usual.’ We aren’t looking for every church to just check a box; we are looking for the 300 who believe that when we stand together in unity, the ‘Midianite’ spirit of divorce and isolation in our nation must retreat.
Will you be one of the 300?
An invitation to IMPACT.
An invitation to
IMPACT.
The strategy is simple, but the stakes are high
When 300 voices speak the same truth on the same day, the impact isn’t just additive – it’s exponential. We invite you to take your place among the 300 to anchor Marriage Week New Zealand 2026 in the Gospel and sound the trumpet from your pulpit. By committing to this one Sunday, you aren’t just preaching a sermon; you are participating in a nationwide restoration of God’s design for the family.
